I gaze into the mirror to harvest crust from my eyes
I need a place to think without distractions from outside
I step into the shower making a grievous stank
Last nights’ party wound up on the sheets
Questions about life seem to always arise
While I’m deeply contemplating their seeking my demise
I think its time to forget the word forget
There’s no clear sides in the lifestyle chess-set
She lays in bed motionless as if my alarm clock didn’t sound
Her make up less face is still pristine lasts nights clothes are on the ground
We filter out our minds with coffee, bitter and energizing
A static shock to start the day, its quick and polarizing

I’d like to say whats on my mind but I never have time to think
My thoughts keep racing but I never have time to speak

I’d like to shoot the breeze but im a wind without a basket
A 45 to my head with my feet inside my casket
If life is a game like Russian roulette
Everything’s a trigger but I haven’t hit the bullet yet.

Dinning day by day has gotten inconvenient
Slam it, lock it, don’t burn your feet on pavement
In the presence of society it’s a question of morality
The ever-present fear of getting too anxious
My rising pulse tells me I’m getting nervous
It’s a cutthroat world in every industry
Pry yourself from the pack running wild and free
I see the business types all suited and briefed up
While the homeless carry signs for change and free hugs
I do my daily grind just like I’ve done before
Remind myself why its for the girl I have back home
My heart throbs every time I look into her eyes
yet I’m still the one wearing the biggest disguise
